Kids don’t ask to be sick. They don’t fake it. They just want help and they deserve everything we have to give them.

Jill Hopkins, MD

Pediatrician, Family Medical Centers Pediatrics

Dr. Jill Hopkins is an enthusiastic, patient-focused pediatrician. She sees each child for the unique individual they are, and treats each patient with the same care she desires for her own child.

Growing up in East Bank, West Virginia, Dr. Hopkins is no stranger to smaller communities. The Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine graduate is proud to serve so close to home as a Family Medical Centers Pediatrician.

The innocence of children is one of the things that led Dr. Hopkins to choose her medical path. Many problems that adults face later in life can be prevented with proper education early on, which is why Dr. Hopkins believes it is important to work with children and help them develop into the best people they can be.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Hopkins feels it is especially important to be available whenever possible for her patients. As a mother, she understands the importance of bending over backward to see patients as quickly as possible – in most cases, the same day. Working with children has always come naturally to Dr. Hopkins, but being a mother herself has created a special connection with new parents, and the life changes that come with having a child in their lives.

That connection with parents is just as important to Dr. Hopkins as the one with her young patients. She encourages parents to seek out a provider before their child is born to make an appointment to discuss philosophies, how they practice medicine and anything else the parent feels is important about the person helping to make sure their child stays healthy.
