Our Family Medical Centers Rock Hill location serves the Rock Hill school students and the surrounding community with award-winning health care. Community members enter from the main entrance under the red Family Medical Centers sign and have their own service window and waiting room. Students have their own entrance waiting area during school hours, and are accompanied by a school nurse.

Services available at the Family Medical Centers Rock Hill location in the Rock Hill School District Office Building:

School-Based Medical Center

FMC Rock Hill is the first School-Based Health Center in Lawrence County Ohio. The purpose of a school-based health center is to provide much-needed health care to students. A health center like this allows parents to keep their children in school and still stay up to date on the physical, vaccines, teeth cleanings, and behavioral health visits. Students at Rock Hill will have the advantage of having award-winning health care right on their school campus. Students will be able to access medical, behavioral health, and dental care throughout the week during school hours. It all starts by the parents signing a consent form at the beginning of the school year. This form will allow the family medical center staff to see the student during school hours while the parent is home. Don’t worry though, the parent will be contacted any time the student is brought to the medical center and the staff will inform the parent of the situation.

Also, the parent can select on the consent form which services they want provided to their child. Next, the school nurse will evaluate the student if they are feeling bad and determine if the child should visit the medical center. Once it is determined that the child should go, a bussing service provided by the school will pick up the child and take them to the medical center. The exciting thing about this clinic is that it is not only open to the students of Rock Hill but the surrounding community as well. This can help parents and community members avoid driving to town to see a doctor. To ensure the safety of the students, we have built two entrances that are separate and secure. The two entrances will ensure that students and community members are never alone or waiting together.

Primary Care Medical Home

Family Medical Centers follows the Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) model of providing healthcare to our community. This simply means that we are a team-based health care delivery model that is intended to provide comprehensive and continuous medical care to patients with the goal of obtaining maximized health outcomes.

Even though you may prefer to see only one specific provider when you come in for your office visit, there is an entire team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and various other support staff working together to ensure that you have the best possible health outcomes. It’s just another way that we live out our mission of measurably improving the lives of those in our community.
